Should the trades be allowed

Here is the scenario

For the last seven years (2018 until now) our Yahoo league has had a trade deadline as the final day that Yahoo allows. This year was no different, it expired this week.

The first place team is arguing that the trade deadline should be extended because it was in December the last few years and it should be as late as December 4th this year.

The second place team is arguing that if you look at each season over the past seven seasons, the dates of the trade deadline happen to line up with the dates of week 13. Week 13 has passed so they believe the trade deadline has too.

The first place team has Amon-Ra on their team so they are now scrambling.

This league is an auction keeper league. We keep 3 guys and operate on a budget. You can’t go over budget. But some push boundaries and trade budget dollars.

The 12th place team asked how many budget dollars he could trade to the first place team without causing an uproar. Which is what caused the debate about the trade deadline.

We are looking for independent parties to weigh in. Should the trade deadline be shut off for the first place team to make a trade or should he be required to ride it out with what he has.
