Delta 3 plus: fan controller issue: overheating, charging throttling
Hey guys, just wanted to document this phenomenon as i have seen a number of others encounter this issue.
Yesterday I collected my brand new unit from my local camping store, and immediately noticed it wouldn't charge at full speed, even when specifying it in the app.
Additionally I found when discharging at a high wattage (ie. 1000+) it would hit it tempreture limiter and cut all power.

The fans seemingly won't power on at all, even when the spinning icon is displayed on the unit itself. (Or if they do turn on, they seem to be stuck at idle.)
Symptoms seem to start appearing at around 51°C and include:
Charging: The unit will be stuck at around 500w - 600w as it tries to thermal throttle itself without its fans. (This does not produce an error.)
Discharging: The unit will discharge at its required level until it hits its 51°C limit and will start throwing overheating and battery protection errors and cut power.
Fans: The fans can seemingly only be heard running when the unit is powering off. This seems to be a hard-coded ramp-up of the fans and, as such, bypasses the controller, confirming it is not an issue with the fans themselves.:

Fortunately umder consumer law in my country is was able to bring it back as it was a defective unit, and I am currently waiting on the retailer to assess it alongside a ecoflow representative.
I will edit this post with updates as I go.
