Do VSRs ever call the contracted C&P companies?

For example, let’s say a VSR orders C&P examinations for a few contentions on Oct 1. The case comes up for review on Dec 1 and the exams haven’t been received. Do VSRs ever call the C&P company to see what’s going on with the delay?
