DigimonCard 2.0 - Further Updates (Playtest, Packages, Deck Folders + More)
Hey All!
Thanks so much for the amazing reception of my post last week for the 2.0 launch of DigimonCard.io.
I don't want to make this a habit of where I constantly post changelogs to reddit but I want to use this opportunity as a thank you to everyone who has read the post and provided feedback, feature requests and bug reports! It's been immensely helpful and has been a busy week.
I want to highlight some new and important features that have come to fruition over the last week
Playtest Tool
This tool allows you to playtest decks in your web browser, but I need feedback on it!
Deck Folders
This feature allows users to create a collection of decks inside a "folder". This folder can be public, private or unlisted. It can be given a name and description and then shared with other users! I believe it's a feature that will help users share a collation of decks easily.
Deck Packages
This feature allows you to create a group of cards that users can subscribe to. Once subscribed to a package, you can then simply call it in the deckbuilder to instantly fill your deck with these cards. The theory behind this feature is that it will improve deckbuilder and help speed up any repetitive group of cards that you always add to your decks.
Other Misc Changes
- Our Deckbuilder now supports using alt arts of cards in your decks.
- Our Deckbuilder/Card Database now supports Collection mode to filter only your collection.
- When you delete a deck you can now restore it again later if you wish.
- On our card pages, Similar Cards section has been improved to showcase related relevant cards (cards mentioned by name in a card desc for example)
- Alt Arts are shown on the Card Page of a card.
- Lots of interface fixes and mobile optimizations made.
- Huge performance gains made over the last week (average server cpu usage reduced from ~20-30% to ~3%).
- Weekly Snapshot updated to do a rolling 7 days insteas of a Start Date - End Date of the week date system.
- Fixed numerous bugs with saving/editing decks.
TODO
- Pack Simulator improvements are coming. I'm working on a system of individual rarities/odds/box weightings of Packs. A lot of work is needed here but I'm working away on it.
- Alt Arts is still a bit finicky, so I'm refining that. It's especially finicky in the Collection Manager.
- A better refinding of Card Prices especially for Mass Entry on TCGplayer.
