Kind of a warning for the future...

Hi everyone. As we all know AI is advancing rapidly. Like nowadays its hard to distinguish it from actual humans. Which brings me to my point... If you've ever watched the Black Mirror episode Be Right Back (10/10 watch. Would recommend) you know exactly what I'm talking about

This episode is about a widow and she was recommended to use an AI that simulates her late husband. Starts out small as a chatbot, then upgraded into calling, then upgraded into a real life robot. She loved the bot at first, it was exactly like her husband. She stopped grieving..

We go further into the episode and we realize she's growing tired of the robot. She realizes its only talking the way she made the bot talk. She fed it info about its husband and generated an idea of how her husband might be. She was growing more agitated and agitated. She started having panic attacks when she was around the husband and started grieving again.

Basically my point is, we can't kill our grief, no matter what we do, even if we recreate our loved one with an AI. That'd be the opposite thing they want us to do, replicate them with a shell of what they were, a stereotype. They aren't there, they are just data that you fed them. Please don't give in to what a corporation thinks of your loved one, no one knows them like you do, and replacing them with a mimic doesn't work.

Thanks for listening to my TED Talk. Hope yall are doing great 😊
