Opinions on winter jacket for a 10 year old

Going overseas for a short vacation this December. We live in California, so we do not really wear warm jackets for winter months. Also, for some reason, my son doesn't get cold at all (he wears tank tops and shorts in 45F weather). But we are going to Asia soon for a short trip to Northeastern China, I've heard it can get really cold there. I was planning on getting my son a jacket (that is also budget friendly) that he's going to use prob a few times. So far I am looking at the

Spyder Faux Fur hooded Parka

Which one of these is sufficient for colder winter weather? Any other recommendations? I'd like to stay below $150. TIA!
