Slowly losing love in my marriage and it’s breaking my heart
TL;DR
Let me start off by saying I really do love my wife and I want things to get better but I feel the damage is already too far.
So my wife and I have been fighting like crazy lately, and I don’t know what to do. And when she is mad she will make sure I’m hurt by the end of it. By saying things like “I want a divorce” or take off her ring everyday and say I don’t want it. “you’re the man give me you’re money your supposed to take care of me”, “I loved my ex more then you, I hate you” ect.. the list goes on too be honest but we will leave it at that.
The problem is the fights will start over nothing, for example today I asked my wife what she wanted to do in life, since she has all these career goals but never applies or tries to take the next steps too do so. She proceed to say it’s my job to take care of her and don’t worry about her worry about myself and then yelled and threatened leaving me.
I feel anytime I try to talk to her, it’s her goal to one up me and make sure I feel less of a man. To be honest I fear I’ve created this behavior as early on she would always run and try to leave and I’d always chase after her. I’ve tried talking about therapy or other things to help and she says no and proceeds to say I can do it on my own. I feel unheard and unappreciated all the time and it’s really breaking me as a man. It’s gotten to the point now I just don’t say anything in fear of her just retaliating on me.
I will say afterwards she apologizes and says she loves me and sorry, and that she will try to be better but not even 24 hours later she’s back to acting against me. Her favorite thing to say is I warned you I’m like this it’s your fault, so leave me. I could really just use someone to tell me straight up what to do be honest and blunt.
TL;DR I feel lost and confused on what to do, my wife constantly tells me she wants to leave then apologizes, and the patterns go on and on.
