Why wouldn't a host send an invite???

Been patiently waiting to join a Kyurem raid, saw that there was like over 5000 trainers ahead of me and made the wait a little easier by browsing Reddit. Took about 2 hours but my turn finally came up, I copied the trainer from Pokegenie, sent the freind request and waited... and waited.... and waited... and never got the invite.

Why why did you leave me hanging Joshm102??? I thought we could have been friends
