Oxervate - anyone else?

I am starting Oxervate (nerve growth factor) today after waiting for months to get it approved by my insurance. Has anyone else here used it?

I had cataract surgery in September and they implanted a light adjustable lens at that time (after a round of 3 different types of drops to treat my dry eye). They have not been able to adjust it due to my continuing dry eye, so the doc prescribed this treatment to try to heal my eye.

Background: Long time contact lens wearer (+6), suffered from dry eye for decades, but worsening recently. Multiple eye surgeries almost 30 years ago that damaged surface of eye and contributed to recent deterioration according to doc.

I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has experience with this drug/treatment. TIA!
