FC Upgrade: Do I earn extra EQMs?

I paid to upgrade my 6 hour flight to Seattle from Main (K) to First (D) via an upgrade online. I thought upgrades charge into First (U) but the website is showing the D class. Do I earn miles and status points at the FC (D) rate?

Thanks!
