I started watching this show when Arshad was hosting it, because it was brand new and my mom used to be a big ITV fan. We were getting used to the format and the winners and it was like just any other show.

Then came this season, my entire family became fans of this show because of GG. The way he stood up to bullies, stayed strong when the whole house was against him, built real friendships(like P3G), made sensible points, faced nomination every single week, and still entertained without selling his dignity. He did every task. He worked even during his own captaincy. He was raw, real, flawed, also very human.

When he won, it felt right. I was younger then, and I genuinely felt like I learned something from the show.

The same goes for winners like Shweta Tiwari and Gauahar Khan. Strong women. Articulate. Competitive. Honest. They gave everything to the game. You actually walked away feeling inspired. After watching the late night finale, we went to bed believing there was still some good left in the world.

That is what this show used to be.

Now look at it.

The makers are casting people with real-world fraud allegations, women who’ve rose to fame using religion as a weapon, making explicit videos, and then so clearly putting on a mask of being spiritual on the show. These people are now finalists, forcing long-time viewers to sit through journey videos - people who lied, manipulated, avoided duties, fought for footage, spoke only about money, and performed manufactured instability for attention. The entire season has been one long rage trap. We kept watching, waiting for truth, accountability, and exposure. Instead, the final few weeks simply confirmed what we already knew. Even media week wasn’t enough.

Audience opinion rarely matters.

To the current makers, we all know you lurk here, just wanted to congratulate you.
You not only ruined the show slowly, you annihilated it with precision.

All you had to do was protect the original format. Instead, you introduced intrusions, favoritism, and minimum guarantees and successfully erased the audience that built this show in the first place. Take a bow.

It kinda is painfully obvious now that public opinion barely matters. We saw that last season with KVMs win and this season we’ve seen it when you got this lady Tanya Mittal to top 5. After nineteen seasons, I think I’m finally done.

There will be no next season for me at least, not that it matters but just felt like getting this off.

I was saving this post for after the finale, but I’m posting it now hoping there is still a small chance at redemption -

Whoever you are planning as the winner, at least choose someone slightly worthy of the title.
Give this show that once stood for something a final moment of dignity. After everything, this show deserves a slightly better ending than the season you gave it at least.

From Feel-Good Finale to Rage-Bait Trash. Here’s one to the makers.
