My boy is either getting slandered and hated way too much or gets treated like a prize in the shipping war. Like bare with me since this is going to a bit long.

In season 1, he's the main reason they go looking for Will and bring Eleven in the party. Despite getting flack from his friends he continued to keep her in the party, was about to jump off the cliff for Dustin.

In season 2, this boy already had suffered from his best friend being kidnapped by this monster and now he lost the girl who he loved, and is continuously sending signals to find her for a year, he's with Will the entire time being his support and crashed out at Hopper cause he hid the girl for a year.

In season 3, you should remember that Mike and Nancy both don't have a role model for what a stable relationship looks like becoz their parents are dysfunctional and that's why they don't know how to properly communicate or be in relationship. He becomes clingy to El and starts ignoring his friends, but he got a lot of slander from Max and El which was undeserved but he still apologized to both his friends and El.

In season 4, gets sidelined which is not his faul. He again gets seprated from his Gf and his best friend for about 6 months leading to a dent in their relationship, has insecurities about how useful he is but he grew out of it and apologized to Will and gave the Love monologue to El and overcame that as well.

In season 5, he's the best version of himself, the leader and the heart of the group.

He's still a teenager and trying to figure out what is right and always protects his friends and the Leader of the group. He is the one coming up with plans, n if u look back in previous seasons his plans always works. Both El and Will seek emotional support from him. He's one of my favourite characters and just tired of him getting treated so poorly by the fandom.

"El deserves Mike" "Will deserves Mike" Mike deserves a better fandom
