Doomsday heist mastermind reset

So I was doing the doomsday heist with my friend and we had finished the volatol mission, then I closed the game and got on again btw I got into a public session because I press A 20 times to get into the history mode and it doesn't work, anyways, I got in the game again, he invited me to the heist and when we loaded in my progress was reset, at the last heist.
