Any experience with Turkey Heads?

I love our barred rocks but we had an icy wind storm come through and there just isn’t enough sweeter heaters in the world to stop comb frostbite here. I was hoping all the extra wind protection would work (and no roosting space is free from heaters) but I was wrong. My sister suggested I look at Turkey Heads for their feathered legs and walnut comb but the description on Greenfire Farms makes me worry. Has anyone ever interacted with this breed? Are they as friendly and worryingly slow as described?
