Tate McRae's composition

I've listened to the album Think Later by singer-songwriter Tate McRae. She's a good lyricist or composer, but my problem is that I feel like she tries to be profound, but it comes across as forced. Also, sometimes I feel like her songs are repetitive. Okay, she writes about boys (on the album), but having them talk about the same thing over and over again gets boring.
