Does the Radio drain my Battery

For the second time in about a year my battery was drained after my car stood for about 6 days. It's an MK5 Sep. 08. I don't have a canbus adapter but the radio turns off when keys are unplugged and reverse also functions. I can turn the radio on without a key. Will an adapter help and wich one to buy (in Germany) thx.
