Phillips 5000 thinks it's plugged in but it ain't

Shaver a few months old. Suddenly today I try to use it and it keeps flashing me the 'unplug it' icon. But it's not plugged in. Why would it want to be unplugged when it's not plugged in? Any ideas? Thanks for any help.
