Confused about the Bilt transit to Autograph and BILT 2.0 timeline

I called Wellsfargo today, the banker said Jan3rd, 2026 is the last date for customers to reject current Bilt card transit to autograph, she mentioned that this means you have to cancel/close your current Bilt card to be able to stop that BILT to Autograph transition process. BUT, I asked BILT customer service, they mentioned the BILT 2.0 card selection will happen in early Jan 2026 most likely after 1/3/2026, so in that case, does that mean if you still want to use Bilt, then it is mandatory to transit to Autograph no matter what???

So is it doable if I choose not to get transit to the Autograph card, but still continue to use BILT card until BILT 2.0 announce their card selection?

also the BILT 2.0 application is a totally brand new application, sounds like it will run credit again if i'm correct.
