Can you use all 8 RAM slots on TRX50 AI TOP on HEDT Threadripper?

Since the TRX50 AI TOP has 8 RAM slots, even though Standard Threadripper only supports 4 memory channels, can you still use all 8 slots by running 2 sticks per channel? That way you could use 8×16 GB instead of 4×32 GB if it’s cheaper. TRX50 motherboards usually only have 4 RAM slots.
