Question about licenses

Hi everyone, I have a quick question about game licenses. I bought AC3 Remastered a while ago, and now with the end-of-year sales, I want to buy the AC Odyssey season pass, which includes the remastered version. My big question is, will the game and its data be overwritten? I'd like to assume not, but I know that if you download games from PS Plus Essentials and then the same game as an extra, or vice versa, the license changes. So, to be sure, thanks!
