What is it like to adopt from Thailand?

I am considering what I might want for the future and I think I might want to adopt a baby someday. I am currently learning Thai as a third language ever so slowly and am already massively invested in Asian cultures because my second language is Mandarin. Thailand also, according to Google, is more affordable and less strict, and has lots of babies waiting. Is this all true? I wanted to throw this out there and see if there's any other information anyone might have.
