[Jp <> Eng] Interpreter Help with large numbers

Hello, I'm an amateur (no schooling) japanese interpreter. I dont have a problem with knowing what 10億 is or reading 1,000,000,000 as 1 billion, but I kinda have to think about what the counterpart to the other is (because English is in 3 digits, and Japanese in 4s).

For anyone thats studied, or does interpretation, do you guys have an easy system? Or is all i can do just treat it like vocabulary, and keep going through the motions on the AnkiApp?
