Dreaming of a loved one who passed looking sad

My dad passed in February this year from a long battle of cancer and his illness hit right when he retired at the age of 65.

I’m an atheist but I can’t help but feel like the dream I had of him last night was so real.

I saw him standing in a park and he was just watching me, it was the healthy version of himself and I was walking across the street from him in a Vancouver neighborhood.

I said “omg hi” as if I almost didn’t recognize me … he turned around with a neutral expression and I proceeded to say it’s been a minute since I last saw you… he said nothing but his expression turned to tears. He was surrounded with a yellow light but very faintly…

In my 30 years on this earth I’ve never had a dream like this. EVER.

Has anyone had a similar experience after losing a loved one?
