Does your device actually affect your BGMI gameplay, or is it truly only about skill?

I keep hearing people say that “device doesn’t matter, only skill matters.” I used to believe that too until I changed my phone. Earlier I played on an Asus Max Pro M1, and now I’m on an iQOO Neo 10R. I still play the same game, same mode, same player but the difference in performance, response time, and overall fights feels huge. After switching, I’ve even managed to win close fights against players who are way more experienced than me.

So now I’m genuinely confused. Is this improvement purely because of better specs like refresh rate, touch sampling, FPS stability, and thermals? Or is it just a mental boost that comes with a new device?
