Tips for talking to family ab DRE

hey yall,

I have DRE. we’re beginning to look at Refractory epilepsy surgery. I’m still learning a bit more and trying to understand it. But, they’re saying the next steps are figuring out how likely of a candidate i am for removing a piece.

The appointment was today, and my family wants to know how it went.

i’m sad, how can you not be sad? But it’s whatever. I knew I had DRE all year, only a few months was I given an official diagnosis. I knew this would probably be an option — horrific or not — so it’s whatever.

They seem to think one day my seizures are going to stop magically. Its frustrating. I get emotional and so do they.

Any tips for talking to them?
