If Iron Sky were ever to be continued, how would you continue the franchise?

Let's say the legal battles for the film stop. How would you continue the franchise? Would it be a prequel to the original movie showing how the Nazis got to the moon? Would it simply be the third one? Maybe even a TV show adaptation? or a whole remake of the first in a darker tone?

I saw someone on reddit a few months ago claiming they were working on a more 'serious' iron sky reboot in America, so i think this would be a interesting question for the community.
