I was told by a lovely person on this sub that my tank for my mouse Dinner was far too small even for a baby mouse. So I got busy gathering the supplies I need. I'm selling all my personal belongings at the moment, I don't mind though. I don't need half of my things anyway, id rather use the money to buy for my pets

The first picture is a 5 gallon tank with Dinner's current set up and the second picture of the new home I'm working on. I emptied an old storage tote and got to work. I'm on a huge budget so I'm relying on finding good deals on Facebook marketplace, that's how I get that super cool standing water bottle for only 5 buckaroos! I also bought a wheel for $5 but it was a huge 14 inch wheel for guinea pigs, I thought I could make it work but its too big for the bin.
So I may resell it to get money for a smaller wheel

The bin is far from ready to have Dinner in it. I need to get some wire mesh for the lid so there's proper ventilation and I want to finish decorating before introducing Dinner

My father thinks I'm silly for doing all this for a mouse and is often hesitant in letting me buy things for him. But I love Dinner so much I think I want to keep mice forever now, they're such lovely animals. it's a shame they live very short lives unlike hamsters or rats
