Making out question

The girl I’m talking to wants to make out, but doesn’t want me touching her sexually (boobs, butt, thighs, etc.) until we’re in a committed relationship. I respect it, but I’m confused about the point of making out if I can’t really touch her. Is this just a normal difference in boundaries or a sign we’re incompatible?
