Can some people give more info on the Basil stuff?

I’m talking to my friend of how I think Basil and Hycotto should give ownership to someone else and she says that they legally can’t and that she feels bad for Basil since she has a life (I argue that Basil should give ownership if they can’t work on the game anymore) and wanted to have any indo about if Basil legally can’t give ownership over to someone else or nah

Any info would be appreciated since I want a better understanding of the whole situation and what’s possible cause my friend said if Basil gives over ownership then Soul would get ownership back.
