Why is my body so accustomed to overeating? Why does it take so many calories for me to feel “full” and “satisfied”
My cutting calories are not few by any means (2300-2500 calories a day on average, 2700 on days where I both lift and train jiujitsu or Muay Thai), but even when when I eat more than 2000 calories of a high protein/satiating diet, I still feel pretty hungry most days.
I was a fat kid growing up who lost that weight and got into decent shape. I decided to go on a bulk but now I’m on a slow but steady cutting phase (that I’ve failed and restarted more times than I’d like to admit but it’s going well this time finally). Is it just because of the habit I built early on of constantly engorging myself or is there something genuinely wrong with my leptin/ghrelin/hunger hormone signaling (maybe as a result of said habit formed early on?)
