Auto lift problem

Hi folks!

I've got realistic lab-8500 turntable with a vmn95en stylus, and I've been enjoying it a lot.

However, I recently bought my first new record as I usually only find them used, and it is thicker than the rest of my collection. When the record ends, the arm fails to lift high enough and will scratch on the record while coming back to the rest point. Does anybody know why it would do so?

For Infos, tracking weight and antiskip are set to 2g and it has been aligned. On other records, the arm lifts high enough to avoid hitting the record on its way back. I'm at a lost. Thanks!
