PCOS?
I had an appointment with my doctor today and I’m honestly just confused at this point. My OB-GYN told me I had PCOS because I went 3 years without a period, my neck was getting darker, and I was severely overweight. Now that I’ve lost weight, all those symptoms are gone and my period came back. I’m ovulating and I’m having everything a natural and healthy cycle would. The thing that bothers me is he never did any bloodwork to check my hormones. The only test I ever got was an ultrasound, and nothing showed up on it.Now he’s saying he doesn’t think I have PCOS anymore which feels weird, because PCOS isn’t something that just disappears. So I’m sitting here wondering if the weight gain was the actual cause and I got misdiagnosed the whole time.Has anyone else dealt with something like this? Is it possible I still actually have PCOS symptoms just went away?
