Finally got an offer, sharing my journey and what helped me and my friend landed our first offers

I used to stress about my lack of experience, but after interviews a lot, I've found that being adaptable matters way more. Here’s what actually worked for me:I showed I'm focus on learning. More companies today way more about whether you can learn fast, especially with AI tools becoming part of almost every marketing workflow. I diving into AI tools like ChatGPT and Perplexity for research, content creation, and analysis was a game-changer(also added it as a simple soft skills section).I created 4–6 sample projects. I picked a random “mock brand” and made a simple brand position, a few content samples, a small campaign idea, a quick competitor overview. These ended up helping way more than saying "I’m passionate about marketing."I cleaned up my LinkedIn. Updated my bio, added the projects, and wrote a bit about what I’m learning. Some recruiters checked my LinkedIn even before checking my resume lol I recorded a short video answering a few common questions. What strengths I bring, how I learn new tools, etc. It actually helped because it showed personality, which beginners often struggle to express on paper. And yeah…I also got hit with many fake postings and spam. So I started using a separate email just for job applications. It made the whole process way cleaner. The job market is tough, and some roles aren’t even real. But once I started showing actual work and proof that I’m actively learning, my responses from recruiters changed a lot. There were so many negative thoughts, wondering if I’d ever be able to find a job. But I reminded myself to keep going and not give up…and now, the opportunity has finally come!
