Kaleidoscope Housing Questions from a possible Fall 2026 transfer!!

Question

I just applied to transfer for Psychology in Fall 2026! My grades are phenomenal right now, I’ve worked so hard to get my GPA to over a 3.3 (after having a bad semester with valid reasoning that I explained in the introduction part of the application). I started this year with a 2.8. Huge improvement.

My reasoning is actually pretty cool..my grades increased because I got an official diagnosis for AuAutism (as an adult female) and began treatment which has been working so well. That’s why I want to go into Psychology in the first place..to help other adults, specifically adult women, understand themselves and their symptoms so they can get treated for being neurodivergent. I’m sure any other ADHD/Autism/AuADHD can attest to this..our lives feel quite impossible before being properly medicated or even screened for neurodivergent people. I cry looking at my life before getting the proper treatment and pray for that girl who felt like an alien in a world full of “normal” people. All this because of the stigma that being neurodivergent is “a male-dominated disability”. I wrote all of this down in my app..I’m so passionate about it and can’t wait to find out!!

With that being said! I also quality for a free ride because my father is a completely disabled veteran. I want to get absolutely every single bit of benefit I possibly can from this..it’s been a long journey to get to here (UCSD is my dream school)..feels so surreal that it could actually happen? I still don’t really believe it but lots of people on here encourage me to have high hopes and that my chances are looking pretty good! Especially if I do the TAP program which absolutely I’m doing.

Housing is very important to me as a neurodivergent person. I have an emotional support bengal that comes with me everywhere I go (he looks like a little ocelot 🥰🐆). He works very hard to take care of me. He deserves the good life as well..he’s very spoiled (reasonably so). I heard there is housing in Sixth called the Kaleidoscope and it’s beautiful. I also heard rumor of ocean view and so many fun amenities. My little ocelot and I would love to live there as soon as summer begins and I finish my final term here at Cal Poly Pomona..I’m just not sure how to lock that?

Q: What do I need to do going forward to lock in my summer housing and get to choose whatever room I want for my bean and I for summer? Who do I reach out to or what do I need to look out for (dates?) going forward to have the absolute BEST chances at getting that housing? I’ll take any advice I can get!

Bonus: If yall give me advice to move there soon you guys can all pet my little chatter box of an ocelot! He’s a service animal but one that LOVESSSS pets. He’s quite popular here at my school hehehe

(send me a dm for advice = 1 picture of bengal babby 🐆)

and maybe one ticket to visit him if im feeling generous..gotta feel things out first tho LOL Thanks all!
