Has anyone here faced issues with Nippon Mutual Fund when their distributor’s ARN expired?

question

I started a SIP about 10 years ago without much research, just based on someone’s suggestion. Over time the investment grew well, and recently I increased the SIP amount. This month I received a notice from Nippon saying that since the ARN of the mutual fund distributor has expired, they are shifting my investment from the growth option to direct.

This shift is going to affect the compounding benefits I’ve built up over the years. Is there any way to continue in the same growth option, or does everything reset once I move to direct?

Would appreciate insights from anyone who has dealt with a similar situation.
