First Game. Visiting from Jersey.

Hey guys my amazing girlfriend surprised me with tickets to Sundays game. We are flying in from NJ on Saturday and doing the stadium tour. We are staying in downtown Green Bay and plan on taking the shuttle to the game. Most likely are buying tickets to the D2 tailgate party but would prefer a more traditional parking lot tailgate. Is it really as simple as just striking up a conversation and offering a 30 rack? Been reading the GreenBayGuy's website but also just wanted to ask here. Thanks for any suggestions y'all can give.
