Getting the plumbing hooked back up
So I got my ileostomy about 9 years ago. I had a small bowel resection for my Crohn's, and it was always meant to be reversed rather quickly. But life got in the way and I had to move twice within a few years then didn't have insurance and by the time I got settled decently I'd gained significant weight because the crowns was in remission. I lived in a new city and went to see a surgeon (my original surgeon had apparently intern with him). Anyways, he said I needed to lose the weight before he's do the surgery. Ok, so I've done it. It took a free years not I'm down about 150 lbs, more or less where I was before the resection. He's retired I guess, but I went in again to a new surgeon and was told I'm still too fat.
What the heck? I'm feeling frustrated. Thanks for letting me vent
