Returning unopened food *Canada*

I bought some frozen toppers for my dog online, and when I picked them up in store I realized they were the wrong kind. I know if they were opened and I returned them, they would get tossed. But if they aren’t opened would they just get put back in the freezer? I just don’t want to return them if they’re just going to throw them away. Would rather donate them or give them to a friend. Hopefully someone from a Canadian location could help me out please!! Tysm 🙂
