Will “subject of major interest” section impact acceptance?

Sorry the title sounded kinda stupid

What I’m saying is… in OUAC for some programs it requires you to add “subject of major interest”.

I know you get to choose your major after your first year (so like a faraway future for now)

But if I add a competitive program there will I have less chance to get in?

Or it just doesn’t matter AT ALL. Kinda confused
