stupidly gave someone $20 for gas today thinking they’d actually pay me back

guy at the gas station said he forgot his wallet and needed $20 to get home, i felt like it was a good deed and he said he would pay me back through zelle, didn’t think it through in the moment but I actually needed those $20. very stupid of me, trying to make back that money, can anyone help?
