I have staph… down there.

After two weeks of what started as intense itching, weird brown spots, patchy skin and extreme burning to the point where I could barely walk, I’ve finally been diagnosed with staph.

STAPH. It never even crossed my mind.

I’m happy to have a diagnosis (and glad it’s not an STD because I did plenty of spiraling being monogamous with one person for 17 years), but now I’m worried about complications or if this will be something I continue to deal with. I’ve heard it’s difficult to treat.

Has anyone else gone thru this? What were your symptoms? Did it clear up? Mine is not MRSA. It’s Staphylococcus aureus.
