Is withdrawing all my cash + locking it away a smart move to stop my gambling?
I’ve recently fallen back into gambling after a long break, and it’s gotten bad fast. I’m not old enough to go to physical casinos, so everything I’ve been doing is online — which makes it way too easy to lose control.
To stop myself, I cut up and removed all credit cards and I’m planning to withdraw all my cash so there’s nothing available to gamble with online.
I know holding cash isn’t ideal because of inflation or whatever, but honestly I’d rather deal with that than watch myself lose everything again.
For anyone who’s dealt with this: Is withdrawing my cash and locking it away a good strategy, or can it backfire? Any advice on setting up barriers or dealing with urges would help a lot.
