I tested posting 4 Videos a day vs 1 video every day
Around 3 months ago i found a gaming channel similar to my niche that posted 8 videos a day and that person was really successful doing it (1.6m views in a week) He put no effort(in editing not posting videos) and would post videos made by 3-4 people in a day. I wanted to try something similar but with 4 a day since he was doing pretty well for himself so here’s what happened
MY ORIGINAL 1 VIDEO A DAY STATISTICS
Averagely, 3-4 out of 5 videos would hit around the range 5000-10k views while 1-2 will hit close or more than 50k views. Sometimes 3 videos for the week would do well over 45k views. Doing this I used to generate 400k-500k views per month and bag around $1200+ . Sometimes a video will get viral and hit 300k views and more. I noticed a lot more highly engaging viewers as I put in a log of effort editing these videos since i had the whole day for it. Thumbnail quality and ctr was always above 20% during the first few days of posting and gradually grows down to 13-16%. Weekly generated views was 150k views or more. More members joined discord for interaction and more returning viewers. Sometimes skipping a day would not hurt the channel that much but overall the experience is much better.
POSTING 4 VIDEOS A DAY EXPERIENCE
To be honest my experience with this is very BAD, 4 videos a day for the week totaled to 28 videos and out of those 28 videos My weekly views have dropped significantly to 85k from 156k views. Part of the reason is being that I couldn’t click bait as much as the other guy does nor post 8 a day which should be possible if i hire an editor. Another thing I noticed was the lack of engaging content and viewers that could not interact with you because it felt like a lazy one up video. I edited my videos way less more and it looks like some guy just turnt on record and posted videos. Thumbnail quality had to be dropped as it would take too much time compared to 1 video a day because now I had to make 4 of them. Very rarely did i see a video do more than 10k views and very often i saw my videos doing less than 1000 views. CTR for the videos averaged 3-7% during initial upload date and after that day it rose slowly. 1 out of the 4 video would have decent ctr around 10+% and less people joined the discord for interaction
CONCLUSION My take on this is that its only been a month since i started doing 4 videos a day. The guy that I’m following has been doing this consistently for a year and reached 1 million subscribers. This could be a case of just having less videos for viewers to watch than him (256 videos vs 15000+) so in a weekly bases since he has more videos, if every one of them gets 1 view a day thats 15k a day easily. i feel that if i keep posting 4 a day and manage to get the same number of videos posted, my viewership could skyrocket. So i’ll let you guys know how much views I get after another month of testing.
