I [24/F] have a "friend" [28M] and he says he's interested in me, but I've never had a relationship before, so I basically rejected him. ---
So, I'm going to tell the whole story..
I moved to this city because of college, and through my internetship I met a guy (4 years older than me). He was my supervisor in the internship for 2 years and our personalities are alike, he's an introvert like me and graduaded from the same university in the same major (he started teaching after graduating and I was an intern in the school he worked). I finished the internship last year and we kept in touch until march/april this year, but then he asked to see me during the night (while drunk) and I refused because it was late and I had to work the next day, and we kind of stopped talking after that. Now, he sent me a text a couple of weeks ago and the conversation led to him asking me out. I said yes because I kind of missed him and wanted to catch up, but deep down i knew that the date could lead to him eventually confessing to me. Later when he dropped me home he sent me a text explaining his intentions, but I refused him again because I just graduated and I want to start a masters degree next year (possibly in another city) and things are really unsure now for me. I think he's very handsome and he's a nice, intelligent guy, and I don't know why I am so afraid and reluctant of going further with him. When I explained to him the reason I didn't want to start anything now he was sweet and told me we could keep it casual with hugs and kisses but still I thought it was better to not get involved in this way with him. Like I said, I've never had a real relationship and I really like being alone..
Basically, I have a bitter taste in my mouth now thinking that I wasted an opportunity to have a nice thing with a nice guy because I am stupid and too shy.
**tl;dr**: I don't know if I did the right choice..?
