Does he like me or notttttttttt im so confused :(

Okay so I met this guy earlier this semester (we're both freshman in college) in my Calculus class. I honestly really didn't pay attention to him at first, but later I noticed that he would make conversation with me during in-class work time (we're in different groups btw). We also started walking out of the classroom building together. It dosent sound like much but the walk out is actually pretty long, and most times he'll stand around and talk to me before we split and go in our different directions. This happened every class for about three weeks (we have 3 classes a week) before I finally asked for his number. I texted him a few times, but he was REALLY dry and didnt seem like he wanted to carry on the conversation. After initiating like FIVE convos over text that didnt go anywhere, I just stopped texting him. Radio silence for a week. In class today was the first time I saw him after Thanksgiving break, and he joined by group and he complemented me many times throughout class (first time hes done this btw). He said like "oh I love your rings" and "Your hair looks really good today." and today, when we were walking out together, I mentioned that I was gonna stay in the study area and register for my classes, and without me asking he just joined me. Im just so confused man. He's super dry over text and just seems like he dosent want to text, but in-person he's really talkative. Does he like me or not? Also the semester ends in like 5 days, and we only have two classes left, so if theres a chance he's interested I'd like to make a move or smth.
