Currently my life

Vent/Rant/FML

For years, I tried to hold together a marriage that was slowly breaking me down. There were patterns of financial dishonesty, emotional neglect, and broken promises that left me feeling alone, even while living under the same roof. When I finally found the strength to separate, I hoped the distance would bring peace — but instead, the pressure continued. Boundaries were pushed, conversations twisted, and I was made to feel guilty for choosing a healthier path.

During one of the hardest seasons of my life, I found support and understanding from someone who reminded me what kindness and safety felt like. That connection gave me strength at a time when I was carrying everything alone. And just when I felt a small piece of hope returning, tragedy struck. That person passed away unexpectedly, leaving me heartbroken and grieving a loss I never imagined facing.

Instead of comfort, I faced judgment — even from my own family. Someone who should have been one of my biggest sources of support shared private information, took sides against me, and made me feel ashamed for being in pain. Their lack of compassion after such a devastating loss cut deeper than any argument ever could.

So here I am — grieving someone I cared about deeply, navigating a separation that has been anything but peaceful, handling parenting, work, and legal responsibilities, and trying to protect my own mental and emotional well-being at the same time. I’ve been blamed, pressured, judged, and manipulated — and yet I haven’t stopped showing up.

I’m choosing clarity over confusion, peace over chaos, and healing over the history that tried to hold me back. Despite everything — the loss, the betrayal, the pressure — I’m still standing. And I’m stronger than anyone realizes.
