I'm considering taking Fin. Evidence of common PFS?
Hey y'all, first off, please don't just dog pile me with horror stories or tell me that I'm just eating Merck propeganda. I'm looking for evidence with an open mind and anecdotals do not convince me of a trend.
I'm considering taking oral finasteride or topical finasteride, and r/tressless feels like a pro-fin echo chamber that won'tbe honest about risks. I'm hoping that your passionate community will be willing to help to inform me about the anti finasteride literature and help balance my information.
I'm trying to get to the bottom of how common post finasteride syndrome is among finasteride patients. I'm not scared about having some side effects for a bit that go away after quitting. PFS is the interest here.
Is there much evidence that PFS is common among finasteride patients? If so, how common, and what evidence backs that? I'm having a hard time parsing out if confounding factors like age of hairloss onset are artificially inflating PFS reports. Like, ED at age 50 doesn't seem terribly unnatural, for example.
References to published randomly controlled studies and meta analyses would be much appreciated. If you have any comments on why specific pro-finasteride studied are flawed, I'll take a look at that, too.
Thanks!
