Travel during flu season

I have a scheduled travel to Japan in a fortnight along with my family which includes a 10 yr old.

My itinerary is as follows Arrival at Tokyo on 19th Dec Stay at Tokyo till 22 Dec Stay at Kawaguchiko till 24 Dec Stay at Kyoto till 28 Dec Return to Tokyo on 28 and stay till 30 Dec. Departure from Tokyo on 30th Dec

There are news reports of an outbreak of H3N2/subclade K. Given the circumstances, how safe or unsafe is the travel across Japan. With basic precautions like wearing masks, washing hands, sanitizer use, is it manageable?
