Unplug or Keep Standby Mode OLED TV
I just bought a new LG OLED 65C5, and this is my first-ever OLED TV. Picture quality is amazing, just like everyone says!
From what I've learned, it's best to never unplug or switch off the mains after use and just put it on standby mode to maintain the 4-hour usage interval for the TV to do its automatic pixel refresh, rather than unplug it and reset the interval in between, and then the TV would not be able to do its auto pixel refresh thing (it can't stack the use time because of no power supply) - Is this true? Please correct me if I'm wrong.
In the Asian household where I live, there's a habit of unplugging the electronics after/when not in use. And this particular habit also kind of has grown in me since I was a kid.
I need some guidance from anyone who has more experience with an OLED panel than me. I know TV is a tool and I should not worry about it too much and use it normally, but I want to preserve this beautiful screen as long as I can and don't want any harm done unintentionally. Please shed some light and thank you!
