Salary Differential MA+30 C6+PD Question

Not sure if anyone will know the answer to this. But I have a masters in Physical Education. This is my first year teaching in The Bronx. I am pursuing an advanced Health Certificate at Lehman College that is an 18 credit program. In order to do the program, you need to have a masters already which I do and got accepted and am currently finishing my first class of the semester. I heard that in order to move up in the salary lane to +30, you must take 6 courses (18 credits)through the ASPDP and the remaining 12 of your choice. Would 18 credits that I am taking in this program count towards my differential or only 12? I am thinking of dropping out of the program and just beginning the ASPDP courses immediately if that is the case and then taking the remaining 9 elsewhere.
